Job summary

Boeing is seeking an Early Career Electrical Component Engineer in Berkeley, Missouri for a contract assignment through a Boeing approved third party.

You will evaluate obsolete parts, forecast obsolescence, monitor GIDEP alerts, and develop mitigation options for DoD programs while collaborating with DoD and industry partners.

This role is not a full-time Boeing employment offer.

Qualifications

• Knowledgeable of basic electronic components (resistors, capacitors, diodes, inductors, transformers, connectors, ICs).
• Strong writing and communication skills with attention to detail.
• Experience with obsolescence concepts and evaluating alternate parts.

Responsibilities

• Applies engineering knowledge to evaluate alternate replacements of obsolete parts.
• Conducts obsolescence forecasting and monitoring using provided tools and surveys.
• Monitors GIDEP alerts and reports obsolescence status to DoD customers.
• Develops obsolescence mitigation options and business case analyses.
• Prepares presentation material to communicate DMSMS issues and resolutions.
