Job summary
RESPEC seeks an Early Career Civil Engineer to join our Cheyenne, WY team, supporting mine reclamation and land restoration projects. You'll work with experienced engineers and environmental professionals, with opportunities from field investigations to design through construction.
This onsite position offers relocation support, fieldwork in remote terrains, and exposure to regulatory compliance, QA/QC, and project documentation, helping protect land and water resources while building a career
Qualifications
- BS or MS in civil/mining engineering from ABET-accredited university.
- 0–5 years in civil/mining/geotechnical/reclamation engineering with at least 1 year in construction management.
- EIT/PE or ability to obtain licensure within a reasonable timeframe.
- Experience with AutoCAD and ArcGIS Pro.
Responsibilities
- Assist with planning, evaluation, design, and construction oversight of abandoned mine land reclamation projects.
- Support site assessments, field investigations, and geotechnical evaluations.
- Contribute to mine closure, earthwork grading, highwall stabilization, and drainage design.
- Perform QA/QC and project documentation under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Travel to project sites for inspections and fieldwork.
