Job summary

The Summit Center in Getzville, NY is seeking an Early Autism Program (EAP) Coordinator to support daily operations, hire and supervise teachers, assign caseloads, manage the program waitlist, and coordinate communication with families, districts, counties, and funding agencies.

The Coordinator partners with the Assistant Principal to ensure staff training, regulatory compliance, budgeting, student safety, and effective program operations, while maintaining a caseload of parent training and

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a related field (speech, education, psychology) or Doctorate in related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience with autism and/or Applied Behavior Analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the selection and oversight of EAP staff
  • Assign caseloads and schedules for EAP teachers
  • Maintain EAP waitlist in coordination with Administrative Services
  • Provide services to consumers within program and in school districts
  • Conduct developmental evaluations
  • Support budgeting and program accountability
  • Maintain rights of individuals served and ensure safety
  • Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and university affiliations
  • Promote positive public relations and collaboration with stakeholders
  • Perform other duties as requested by supervisor

Pay: $62,300 - $67,000

Location: Getzville, NY

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM, 37.5 hrs./week

Your impact an an EAP Coordinator

The EAP Coordinator supports the daily operations of the Early Autism Program (EAP), including hiring and supervising teachers, assigning caseloads and schedules, managing the program waitlist, and coordinating communication with families, school districts, counties, and funding agencies. The Coordinator partners with the Assistant Principal to ensure staff training, clinical accountability, regulatory compliance, budgeting, student safety, and effective program operations. This role also maintains a caseload of parent training and consultation services and conducts developmental evaluations through the Developmental Evaluation Center.

  • Assist in the selection and oversight of Early Autism Program staff
  • Assign the caseloads and schedules to the Early Autism Program teachers
  • Maintain the EAP waitlist in conjunction with Administrative Services
  • Provide services to consumers within program and in school districts
  • Conduct evaluations
  • Assist with efforts to ensure clinical/educational accountability
  • Assist in developing the EAP budget
  • Maintain the rights of individuals being served
  • Assist with the development of policies and procedures for program
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of university affiliations
  • Promote good public relations
  • Perform any other duties as requested by your supervisor
EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE

  • Masters degree in speech, education, school psychology or other related field or Doctorate in psychology, speech, education or other related field;
  • 3 years experience with autism and/or Applied Behavior Analysis.
  • BCBA preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Etc.

  • Maintains Certification as a Special Education Teacher with Students with Disabilities Birth - Grade 2 certification; or maintains NYS Licensure as a psychologist or Speech Language Pathologist.
  • License-eligible candidates must be working under a limited permit and must receive license within two years of employment.
  • Maintains membership in one or more professional organizations related to autism, early childhood education or professional practice;
  • OCFS (Office of Child & Family Services) fingerprint clearance.
