Job summary

Teledyne FLIR is seeking an Export Licensing Specialist to support U.S. EAR and ITAR licensing. This role involves preparing license applications, evaluating exceptions, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure compliant international business activities.

The ideal candidate has hands-on EAR licensing experience, familiarity with ITAR, and comfort working in a regulated defense/tech environment. SNAP-R, DECCS, OCR EASE, and SAP GTS experience are highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 2–4 years of hands-on export licensing or compliance under EAR.
• Knowledge of EAR licensing requirements and license exceptions.
• Familiarity with ITAR and export classifications.

Responsibilities

• Review business activities to determine EAR/ITAR export authorization requirements.
• Prepare, submit, and manage export license applications and documentation.
• Evaluate EAR license exceptions and advise on their use.
• Review classifications, authorizations, and licensing requirements for compliant international activities.
• Ensure license conditions, provisos, restrictions, and reporting are followed.
• Maintain accurate export licensing records and supporting documents.
• Conduct peer reviews of license applications and determinations for accuracy.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Program Management, Operations, Supply Chain, and Legal on licensing requirements.
• Develop and maintain trade compliance procedures and training materials.
• Deliver training on export licenses and license exceptions; support audits and investigations.
