Additional Information About the Position for Qualified Candidates

  • $20,000 Sign-On Bonus
  • 120 hours of front-loaded Paid Time Off

Job Summary

Possesses an in-depth knowledge of Respiratory anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, disease process, patient evaluation and assessment skills and critical thinking skills. Leads the team in performing all respiratory procedures and protocols, testing, and CPR in all areas of the hospital as directed by the supervisor. Collaborates with Physicians and Nurses in unit assigned. Divides workload for the area.

Job Requirements

  • Education
    • Required: Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Program
    • Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • Experience
    • No prior experience required
  • Skills
    • Provides care as appropriate to age of population served.
    • Proficient in safely providing all routine and emergent respiratory modalities.
    • Able to assess patients and provide patient care per protocol.
    • Provide accurate and appropriate electronic documentation.
    • Provide accurate and appropriate education to patients, students and new staff.
  • Licensure/Certification/Registration
    • Missouri State License for Respiratory
    • RRT credential from the NBRC
    • Cardiopulmonary resuscitation training will vary within the areas in which you are assigned:
      • Must obtain BLS within 90 days of hire for all areas
      • Must obtain PALS within 365 days of hire for working in the Pediatric floor and in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
      • Must obtain ACLS within 365 days of hire for working in critical care unit
      • Must obtain NRP within 365 days of hire for working in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
