ON COURSE ATTENDANTS

DEPARTMENT: GOLF DEPARTMENT

JOB CLASSIFICATION: SEASONAL

PAY GRADE: 1

2024 YEAR: ($10-$12 PER HOUR)

POSITION SUMMARY

The on-course attendant works closely with the starters and professional staff to ensure the smooth operation of the golf course daily. This includes on course pace of play management, tee box and fairway maintenance, cleaning up trash, tournament setup and cleanup, and assisting the outside services as well as the pro-shop starters in their daily tasks.

The cart attendant must have excellent listening skills and an eagerness to provide excellent service to customers. This is an engagement position where your main responsibility is to ensure customers achieve a superior experience. Flexibility in meeting the varying scheduling needs of the golf course is required, and additional hours may be necessary. Outside Services must be neat and well-groomed in accordance with Eaglewood team member standards.

This position requires a highly self-motivated individual who can work with minimal supervision and interact with guests at a high level.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Responsible for daily on course pace of play control.
  2. Utilizing a GPS tracking system to help groups move along.
  3. Fill in divots on tee-boxes, fairways, and other needed areas.
  4. Assist pro-shop and cart attendants with range responsibilities:
  • Sand and seed the range.
  • Pick the driving range.
  • Update yardages.
  • Move dividers and stands.
  • Pick up trash and debris throughout the golf course.
  • Check on course restrooms to ensure they are neat, tidy, and stocked.
  • Empty on course garbage when needed.
  • Keep all working areas attractive, neat, and clean.
  • Detail the on course attendant cart each shift.
  • Assist with tournament setup and takedowns.
  • Assist in Pro Shop responsibilities when needed.
  • Assist in Cart Attendant responsibilities when needed.
  • Follow procedures for proper opening and closing of cart and range operations.
  • Inspect the condition of golf carts with attention to cleanliness and appearance.
  • Assist in cart cleanliness, supplies, condition, and fueling, ensuring uniform usage among the fleet.
  • Check and fill stock of #1 and #10 boxes and amenity cart throughout the shift.
  • Perform other duties as required.
  • JOB REQUIREMENTS

    1. Flexible availability including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
    2. Ability to clearly communicate guests' needs to other Team Members.
    3. Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
    4. Wear a staff uniform t-shirt or polo provided during every shift.
    5. Khaki shorts or jeans are permissible.
    6. No cutoffs, basketball shorts, leggings, or sweatpants are permitted.
    7. Eaglewood or golf branded headwear is permitted.
    8. Minimum Age 18 with a valid driver's license.
    9. A positive attitude while on the job is essential.

    This is a paid position that requires fulfillment of the essential functions during the shift; it is not a volunteer position that allows for distractions such as listening to audio books or using a phone while on duty.
