Position Overview

The Service Technician role is categorized into three levels based on experience: A Class, B Class, and C Class.

• A Class: Skilled technician capable of diagnosing and repairing all vehicle areas, with specialization in specific repair areas, and previous experience as a B-Class technician.
• B Class: Experienced technician able to diagnose and repair most vehicle components with minimal supervision, with prior experience as a C-Class technician.
• C Class: Performs most tasks with some supervision, requiring basic mechanical knowledge.

Standard Duties

• Perform repairs as outlined on repair orders efficiently and accurately.
• Communicate with parts department and document all work performed.
• Road test vehicles and participate in manufacturer training programs.
• Maintain shop cleanliness and ensure safety protocols are followed.

Level-specific Responsibilities

• A Class: Diagnose malfunctions and supervise apprentices.
• B Class: Diagnose most malfunctions and supervise apprentices.
• C Class: Diagnose vehicle problems based on customer complaints and install optional equipment.

Skills and Abilities

• Strong organizational skills, integrity, and professionalism.
• Ability to interpret technical instructions and operate diagnostic tools and shop equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work safely with tools and machinery.

Education and Experience

• Experience with Electric and Hybrid vehicles is a plus.
