AXIS Capital is seeking an E&S Property Team Leader to oversee the North America Claims team, delivering high-quality property claims management, guidance, and strategic leadership.

You will lead the team, mentor staff, and deploy data-driven reporting to improve service levels and cost efficiency while collaborating with brokers and insureds to ensure consistent client engagement across the region.

Job Description

AXIS is seeking an E&S Property Team Leader to join our North America Claims team to support the expansion of AXIS' presence in the E&S Property market in North America. As a direct report to the Head of E&S Property Claims, the successful candidate will be responsible for the quality, accuracy, and performance of serious and complex commercial property claims; provide direction and technical guidance through a continuous process of management involvement; and will lead, mentor, manage the performance and development of other Company employees.

Using data-driven reporting and productivity metrics, this leader will develop the optimal target operating model to deliver best-in-class service for AXIS clients and that provides career paths for Axis claim professionals to grow and develop. This role will also be responsible for delivering the AXIS North America Claims value proposition engaging with stakeholders, brokers, and insureds to ensure constant communication and service engagement distinguishes Axis claims every day.

• Direct supervision and management of claims including the investigation, analysis and evaluation of coverage liability and damages, within best practices
• Close collaboration with the Head of Specialty Complex Claims for matters involving coverage disputes, including litigation and arbitration initiated by Axis issuing companies and when Axis issuing companies are parties to such litigation
• Ensures that high quality Claim Summary Reports are being effectively completed and managed by Claim Leadership team to promote customer service excellence
• Ensures understanding and administration of claim policies, procedures, and practices in accordance with company and policy standards
• Directly responsible for implementing a people strategy that supports training and skills improvement initiatives that achieve increased bench strength and improved career pathing
• Provides leadership that encourages and supports a professional environment and promotes a business culture that leverages attainment of desired business results
• Focus on resolution and process improvement, fulfilling all obligations while maximizing cost effectiveness, helping the Company understand drivers, trends and helping our partners attract and retain business
• Supporting underwriting inquiries and information requests regarding policy construction and drafting, reporting claim trends, data analysis, and risk assessments
