Job summary

Schaeffler is a dynamic global technology company seeking a Purchasing professional to organize complex sourcing projects, define activities, and integrate external suppliers into the PDP to ensure on-time production. You will lead E-mobility purchasing projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive cost-reduction initiatives in North America.

The role requires 4+ years in purchasing, strong negotiation and project management skills, and fluency in English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or engineering.
• 4+ years purchasing experience.
• Fluency in English.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
• Experience with AI tools (e.g., chatbots, Python, assistant models).
• Strong negotiation, project management, and problem-solving abilities.
• Independent work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Ability to interface with cross-functional teams and all levels domestically and abroad.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Legally authorized to work in the USA.

Responsibilities

• Organize complex purchasing projects with extensive requirements and negotiations.
• Define sourcing activities and execute project purchasing tasks for the business unit.
• Integrate external suppliers into the PDP to ensure on-time production and represent Purchasing in PDP projects.
• Drive component cost validation and alignment.
• Collaborate with interfaces along the supply chain and manage changes in projects.
• Lead E-mobility Purchasing projects to achieve correct cost structure and timely launches.
• Manage launches for E-mobility projects focusing on E-Drives, Mechatronics, and Modules.
• Contribute to technical cost-saving initiatives and supplier development in North America.
