Job summary

Simplot seeks an Electrical & Instrumentation Trainee for its Caldwell, Idaho plant to gain hands-on skills in electrical controls and process instrumentation. The program leads toward certification as an E&I Technician, with tasks ranging from installation and calibration to preventive maintenance and data reporting.

Trainees must complete Level 1–3 milestones within 6000 hours and can be current employees or new applicants. Location is GF Idaho Plant - Caldwell, United States.

Qualifications

• Associates of Applied Science degree or currently enrolled in program to obtain.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age (or older where required by law).
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Installs, operates, and maintains central process control equipment and instrumentation.
• Ensures instrumentation is tuned and calibrated; performs preventive/predictive maintenance.
• Assists with PLCs and SCADA programming and reliability.
• Assists in developing plans for electrical and automation systems for projects.
• Performs preventive maintenance on equipment and instrumentation.
• Maintains shift records and reports predictive maintenance data.
