Job summary

Ferrero is seeking a Maintenance E&I Technician to join the plant maintenance team in Florence, KY. You will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and mechanical equipment to support factory operations and ensure food safety by following GMPs and safety practices.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, downtime repair, diagnostics, and documenting activities in SAP CMMS. Strong PLC and automation knowledge plus ability to interpret electrical schematics is required.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent in Electrical Maintenance or Industrial Automation.
• 2-year technical degree in Electrical Maintenance or Industrial Automation with 1 year experience may suffice.
• Diagnostic troubleshooting and parts replacement experience required.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical and mechanical system preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair in a team environment.
• Follow GMPs to guarantee food safety.
• Work safely with LOTO, PPE, risk assessments and work permits.
• Document activities in SAP Plant Maintenance CMMS.
• Identify parts and maintain BOMs and drawings.
• Adjust machines to support operations.
• Support Ferrero Operational Excellence initiatives.

The Maintenance E&I Technician is a member of the plant maintenance team that supports factory operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and mechanical equipment.

The Maintenance E&I Technician is a member of the plant maintenance team that supports factory operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and mechanical equipment.

Main Responsibilities:

• Perform electrical and mechanical system preventative maintenance troubleshooting and repair in a team environment
• Follow Food Factory Good Management Practices GMPs to guarantee food safety
• Work safely following all required safe practices including LOTO PPE risk predictions and work permits
• Utilize SAP Plant Maintenance CMMS system to document activities such as planned work repair and future work needed
• Proactively utilize available resources for troubleshooting and repair operators maintenance team electrical prints manuals OEM website resources
• Properly and safely utilize tools and diagnostic equipment
• Perform all work in a professional and workman like manner
• Identify parts required for repairs utilizing available resources bills of material parts lists manuals mechanical assembly drawings etc
• Perform machine adjustments as required to support operations
• Examples of commonly encountered electrical devices and systems include switchgear and power distribution devices MCCs safety circuits disconnects fuses PLC automation motors motor starters relays circuit breakers VFDs photo eyes prox switches relays motor starters temperature probes level sensors flow meters control valves and more
• Participate in and support the Ferrero Operational Excellence system

Perform Additional Duties As Required

About You:

• Associates degree maintenance related certificate or equivalent experience in Electrical Maintenance or Industrial Automation field
• 3 years of prior experience as an Electrical Mechanical Technician OR 2year technical degree in Electrical Maintenance or Industrial Automation AND 1 year of prior experience as Electrical Mechanical Technician
• Prior work experience must include diagnostic troubleshooting repairing and replacing defective parts adjusting machinery and modifying units to meet proper operating specifications
• Must be able to work overtime when required
• Able to work with computers navigating systems recording information locating information necessary to perform the job
• Able to use basic mathematical skills in order to perform machine and mechanical systems maintenance calibrations and repairs
• Working knowledge in the area of pipefitting and rigging
• Basic knowledge of steam distribution systems and principles
• Working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic principles
• Advanced understanding of industrial electricity including motor basics and controls
• Advanced knowledge of industrial automation and PLC based controls
• Communication skills
• Critical thinking skills
