Job summary

Austin Industries seeks a senior E&I Project Leader to oversee electrical, instrumentation, and controls work on multiple industrial projects from design review through commissioning.

You will enforce safety standards (OSHA/NFPA 70E/ISA), manage licensure, and coordinate with owners, engineers, and operations teams to deliver on time and on budget.

This role requires strong leadership of E&I supervisors and technicians, with focus on governance, risk management, and quality assurance.

Qualifications

• Experience reviewing electrical diagrams, cable schedules, instrument indexes, P&IDs, control narratives.
• Ability to lead E&I projects from design through commissioning.
• Strong safety focus and licensure management.
• Proven capability to manage budgets and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Enforce safety standards (OSHA, NFPA 70E) for electrical/instrumentation work.
• Direct all electrical, instrumentation, and controls work across projects.
• Review and approve E&I estimates with the estimating team.
• Establish standards and quality requirements for E&I engineering and construction.
• Lead E&I supervisors and technicians; build capability.
• Oversee commissioning, startup, and handover.
• Coordinate with owners, engineers, and operations teams.
• Maintain progress reports and as-built documentation.
