Job summary

Gillig is seeking an experienced E/E Systems Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers at the Loveland, CO facility. The role focuses on designing, integrating, and validating electrical and electronic subsystems for transit bus programs.

You will own harness design, schematics, and system safety analyses while coordinating with controls, test, and field teams to deliver reliable power and communications solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in engineering, automotive or heavy-duty design.
• Experience leading a team of engineers and working with suppliers and validation teams.
• Hands-on design with DFM/DFS and cost-efficiency.
• Experience with on-site troubleshooting and field support.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage E/E systems team processes and deliverables.
• Lead SCRUM activities and track E/E tasks and releases in Jira.
• Define statements of work with vendors and prototyping groups.
• Oversee harness design, wiring, schematics, and traceability in ECAD.
• Perform DFMEA and support DVP&R activities with test engineers.
• Provide technical leadership and cross-functional collaboration.
