About the Role:

Own and optimize both of SanguineBiosciences’ external web properties:

Researcher‑facing WordPress+WooCommerce storefront that sells banked biospecimens.

Patient‑facing recruitment site that converts visitors into qualified biospecimen donors.

You’ll manage the e‑commerce channel, keep both sites fast, secure, and compliant, and drive continuous growth through SEO, CRO, and data‑driven experimentation.

Primary Responsibilities:

E‑Commerce Operations (Researcher‑Facing Storefront)

  • Catalog&Storefront Ownership— Maintain the WooCommerce catalog (SKUs, pricing, inventory, schema) and guarantee ≥99.9% uptime.
  • Payment, Tax&Compliance— Configure gateways, multi‑currency, and tax/VAT logic; perform PCI‑DSS and GDPR/CCPA audits; own chargeback workflows.
  • Logistics&Fulfillment Integration— Sync WooCommerce with LIMS/ERP for pick‑pack‑ship, temperature‑controlled logistics, and real‑time inventory; set SLAs for same‑day vs. scheduled shipments.
  • Conversion‑Rate Optimization (CRO)— A/B & multivariate tests on layout, pricing, trust signals, and checkout flow; manage a CRO backlog and report lifts.
  • Personalization & Recommendations— Implement AI‑driven “recommended for you / people also bought” tuned to donor condition or buyer cohort.
  • Promotions&Pricing Governance— Own discount, tiered‑pricing, coupon, and institutional‑pricing calendars; protect margins via approval workflows.
  • Fraud Prevention & Risk Control— Set fraud‑screening thresholds; collaborate with Finance on chargebacks; track false‑positive/false‑negative KPIs.
  • Customer Self‑Service Enhancements— Build My‑Account dashboards, order tracking, batch certificates download, and bulk‑order CSV uploads.
  • Marketplace&Channel Expansion— Manage product feeds for Scientist.com, Bio‑Compare, etc.; enforce price parity and back‑sync orders.
  • Analytics & Forecasting— Build LookerStudio/PowerBI dashboards for cohort LTV, SKU velocity, and demand forecasts.
  • Accessibility & Checkout Compliance— WCAG2.2AA, ADA keyboard nav, HIPAA/GDPR consent where PHI captured.
  • Global Commerce Readiness— Multi‑currency, landed‑cost calculators, Incoterms mapping, EAR/ITAR export screening.
  • Process Documentation & Training— SOPs for catalog updates, promos, fraud review, and rollbacks; train ops/support staff.

WordPress / SiteManagement (Both Sites)

  • Administer themes, plugins, and updates via staging with zero downtime.
  • Enforce security hardening, backups, and disaster‑recovery plans.
  • Optimize CoreWebVitals (LCP, CLS, INP), caching (QUIC.cloud, Cloudflare), and hosting configs.
  • Implement and maintain clean, responsive design across all devices
  • Optimize site navigation, page layouts, and user flows for usability and conversion
  • Use Google analytics or similar tool to analyze user behavior and improve
  • Manage schema markup, accessibility, and integrations with HubSpot/Salesforce/LIMS.

SEO&OrganicGrowth

  • Keyword research, on‑page optimization, internal linking, and schema strategy.
  • Technical SEO audits (crawl errors, XML sitemaps, indexation, log‑file analysis).
  • Ethical link‑building and digital‑PR outreach.
  • Track performance in GA4, LookerStudio, SearchConsole, SEMrush/ahrefs; report ROI.

Patient Recruitment & Conversion (Patient‑Facing Site)

  • Funnel Ownership— Own landing pages, pre‑screen questionnaires, and digital consent flows that convert visitors into qualified donors across multiple therapeutic areas.
  • CRO & Personalization— Run experiments on headlines, forms, social proof, and eligibility gating; personalize content by condition, geography, or referral source.
  • Compliance & Privacy— Ensure IRB‑approved language, HIPAA compliance, and WCAG2.2AA accessibility throughout the donor sign‑up journey.
  • Data Integration— Push lead and consent data into Salesforce, HubSpot, and LIMS; maintain data integrity between marketing and clinical databases.
  • Analytics & Reporting— Build dashboards for visitor‑to‑donor conversion rate, cost per acquisition (CPA), and retention; surface insights to Patient Engagement & Operations teams.
  • Collaboration— Partner with Patient Outreach, Clinical Ops, and Advocacy teams on campaigns, referral programs, and community content.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Product Marketing on copy, imagery, and landing pages.
  • Work with Engineering on APIs, headless builds, or custom PHP/JS.
  • Align with Sales and Patient Outreach on lead‑capture flows and nurturing automations.
  • Provide training and SOPs for content editors, support, and clinical‑coordinator teams.

Position Requirements:

  • 5+years combined experience in e‑commerce management, WordPress administration, and SEO strategy.
  • Hands‑on CRO experience for both transactional and lead‑gen funnels.
  • Deep knowledge of WooCommerce, payment/shipping plugins, REST‑API integrations, and donor‑recruitment best practices.
  • Proven track record improving CoreWebVitals and ranking competitive keywords.
  • Skills in HTML, CSS, basic PHP/JS; comfortable with Git‑based workflows and staging sites.
  • Mastery of GA4, GSC, TagManager, and at least one SEO suite (SEMrush, ahrefs, Moz).
  • Data‑driven mindset; able to translate insights into experiments and roadmaps.
  • Excellent project‑management and cross‑functional communication skills.

Preferred:

  • CRO tooling (Optimizely, VWO), headless WordPress, React/Next.js, or ShopifyPlus migrations.
  • Experience with regulated or life‑sciences websites (HIPAA, IRB, GDPR, ADA).
  • Working knowledge of email automation (Klaviyo, HubSpot) and patient‑engagement platforms.

Pay: 115K-120K annually plus performance based bonus
