Job summary

Goodwill Central Texas is seeking an E-commerce Team Member to join our fast-paced warehouse and online marketplace. You will review donations for authenticity and value, perform online research, create accurate listings, and handle packing and shipping for sold merchandise.

Customer service excellence is expected at all times in this role. Responsibilities include moving items in the warehouse, sorting merchandise, photographing products, writing listings, and meeting daily production goals.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working in a warehouse environment preferred.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must be able to multi-task to meet daily production quotas.

Responsibilities

• Move materials within the E-commerce warehouse or office using carts, dollies or pallet jacks.
• Sort and process merchandise according to department standards.
• Track, label and record all processed merchandise in the online tracking system.
• Sort jewelry and separate into categories (precious metals, designer, costume, scrap).
• Test precious metals and gemstones with assigned equipment per safety guidelines.
• Photograph each item to clearly show critical details for bidders/customers.
• Write clear item listings with all critical details for bidders/customers.
• Ensure grammar, spelling and punctuation in listings are accurate.
• Pull sold orders from inventory and stage for packing or pickup.
• Conduct inventory purges as needed.
• Package and ship items cost-effectively to customers.
• Meet hourly and daily production goals for tasks assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Including but not limited to reviewing donations for authenticity and value, online research, tracking and processing of donations, creating accurate online item listings to advertise and sell high value donations, packaging and shipping of sold merchandise and providing excellent customer service at all times.

Role and Responsibilities

• Moves material within the E-commerce warehouse or office as needed using rolling carts, dollies or pallet jacks as needed.
• Sorts and processes a wide variety of merchandise accordingly to department standards.
• Tracks, labels, and records all processed merchandise using online tracking system.
• Sorts jewelry and separates into precious metals, designer brands, costume jewelry, scrap jewelry or bulk lots according to department standards.
• Tests precious metals and gemstones using assigned equipment accordingly to safety guidelines.
• Photographs each item to visibly identify all critical details about each item to potential bidders/customers.
• Writes clear and concise item listings that communicates all critical details about an item to potential bidders/customers.
• Accurately uses grammar, spelling and punctuation in item listings.
• Pulls sold orders from inventory shelves and stages in the correct area for packing or pick up.
• Conducts inventory purges as needed.
• Packages and ships each item in the most cost-effective manner to the correct customer.
• Meets hourly and daily production goals of any assigned task.
• Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds at times.
• Must be able to stand, bend and twist for eight hours.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to airborne particles.
