Connectly Recruiting is seeking a smart, market-driven Strategic Purchaser to manage and grow our e-commerce and dropship purchasing program. You will identify opportunities, negotiate favorable terms, and own the end-to-end purchasing process in a fast-changing market.

The role emphasizes building strong supplier networks, making independent decisions, and maximizing profitability while controlling risk across inventory, pricing, and promotions.

Qualifications

• Must have strong market instincts and the ability to spot opportunities.
• Ability to act quickly, make independent decisions, and own results.
• Strong supplier relationships and understanding of margins, cash flow, and risk.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills with clear communication.
• Experience in product trading, closeout stock, or e-commerce sourcing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor market pricing, trends, promotions, and supply-demand.
• Decide when to buy, wait, or pass on a deal and set stock quantities.
• Leverage promotions to improve margins while managing risk and capital.
• Build a broad network of distributors, wholesalers, traders, and suppliers.
• Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers.
• Own the financial outcomes of purchases from order to delivery.
• Monitor inventory, sales trends, and market prices to adjust strategy.
• Coordinate with sales and purchasing teams before buying and selling stock.
• Record suppliers, pricing, inventory, tests, and results clearly.
