Goodwill of Western and Northern Connecticut is seeking an E-Commerce Team Member to support our online store by sorting donated items, photographing them, researching descriptions, and communicating with customers.

This full-time role requires jewelry knowledge, basic computer skills, and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds. Benefits include health/dental/vision, retirement plan, paid holidays, vacation, and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of jewelry or collectibles.
• Experience in E-Commerce is strongly preferred.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of the Internet and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience using a digital camera.
• Basic knowledge of English and creative writing skills.
• Able to lift over 40 pounds and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Sorting, evaluating, and identifying the value of donated items to be sold on the E-Commerce website.
• Researching specialty items to write creative descriptions to maximize exposure and value online.
• Photographing each item with a digital camera to market to online bidders.
• Communicating with customers via email and phone to address questions.
• Testing for jewelry value, gems, or precious metal.
• Maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.
• Preparing items for shipping.
