Job summary

Licking/Knox Goodwill Industries, Inc. in Newark, OH, is hiring a regular full-time E-Commerce Quality Specialist to sort and inspect merchandise for online sale. You will verify quality, authenticity, and completeness, and ensure proper listing categories and shipments.

Responsibilities include researching products, removing unsuitable items, maintaining quality standards, and assisting with inventory control. Prior experience in packing/shipping is preferred, with a 38–40 hour work week.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of digital photography and editing programs is a plus.
• Frequent lifting, carrying, and up to 50 pounds.
• Frequent standing and walking for extended periods.
• Pre-employment drug screens and background check.
• Be able to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift 50 lbs as required.

Responsibilities

• Sort incoming merchandise to determine suitability for online sale.
• Inspect merchandise for quality, condition, authenticity, completeness, and functionality.
• Test electronics and verify accessories are present.
• Identify shipping method and prepare pre-shipment areas.
• Research unfamiliar products to ensure correct ID and category.
• Determine the appropriate online listing category.
• Remove damaged or unsuitable merchandise from the online sales process.
• Maintain consistent quality standards to reduce returns and improve satisfaction.
• Control inventory and ensure accuracy.
• Confirm merchandise matches customer orders before shipment.
• Keep shipping supplies stocked and the area organized.
