Job summary

Goodwill of the San Francisco Bay is seeking a detail‑oriented E‑commerce Listing Clerk. You will accurately describe items, enter product details, and optimize listings to maximize revenue and reduce customer inquiries. You’ll meet daily goals and ensure correct shipping methods while safeguarding donated goods.

Strong communication, fast typing, and reliable attendance are essential as you work to support online growth and customer satisfaction in a dynamic retail environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Past experience in E-Commerce preferred with general knowledge of jewelry, collectibles and/or electronics.
• Excellent customer service skills, with effective written and verbal communication.
• Strong internet navigation skills.
• Ability to type a minimum of 28 words per minute with a high level of accuracy.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to speak and read English proficiently.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen, where applicable for position.

Responsibilities

• Meets or exceeds daily listing goals.
• Ensures GSFB uses the most cost-effective method of shipping for each item.
• Safeguards all GSFB property including donated goods.
• Immediately advises supervisor of significant and unexpected problems.
• Communicates needs with other team members.
• Builds and maintains effective quality working relationships with internal customers.
• Promotes and demonstrates teamwork and cooperation.
• Takes accurate weight and measurements of products.
• Lists products online describing each item accurately.
• Placing notes in listing when necessary.
• Moves items to appropriate staging area upon completion of listing.
• Handles fragile items with care to avoid damage or breakage.
• Maintains work area in a safe, clean, and orderly fashion.
• Cleans work area at the end of each day, following safety rules and regulations.
• Maintains regular and consistent in-person attendance.

Position Description: Accurately describes items according to product listing guidelines including measurements, product information, and product flaws/damage for Goodwill of the San Francisco Bay. Enters product information into listing software and chooses appropriate listing category, delivery methods and listing strategies to maximize revenue and decrease customer service inquiries. Writes content to describe listings and optimizing for online search. Ability to meet daily goals.

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills)
