About the Role

We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented E-Commerce Inventory Optimization & Forecasting Manager to take ownership of forecasting SKU-level sales velocities, improving inventory flows, and enabling smarter purchasing decisions across our catalog of 5,000+ SKUs. This role is essential to ensuring operational efficiency and inventory accuracy across our ecommerce channels. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inventory management, demand planning, and ecommerce operations, with a passion for using data to drive impactful outcomes.

This is a Full-Time remote position.

Requirements
  • 3–5+ years of experience in inventory management, demand planning, or supply chain analytics.
  • A proven track record in ecommerce and/or Amazon inventory operations.
  • Experience working with large product catalogs (5,000+ SKUs preferred).
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills – able to translate data into actionable insights.
  • High-level problem-solving skills with the ability to roll up your sleeves for detailed execution.
  • Advanced Google Sheets skills, including modeling and process automation concepts.
  • Experience with forecasting tools; exposure to Python, SQL, or BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker is a strong plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English – capable of simplifying complex data.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills; ability to handle and make sense of complex datasets.
  • Familiarity with ecommerce sales dynamics, seasonality, and inventory velocity.
  • Confidence in creating, presenting, and reporting metrics, dashboards, and KPIs to leadership.
  • A positive, proactive, and detail-oriented mindset with a passion for accuracy and process improvement.
  • A collaborative nature with the ability to work across departments in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Responsibilities
  • Own the SKU velocity modeling process, including removing distortions caused by stockouts and sales spikes.
  • Drive and improve the semi-automation of velocity calculations across a catalog of over 5,000 SKUs.
  • Optimize on-hand inventory levels by identifying slow movers and executing liquidation strategies.
  • Work cross-functionally with Supply Chain and Marketing teams to strategically launch promotions that move excess inventory.
  • Build, maintain, and improve reporting tools to inform purchasing and demand planning decisions.
  • Track and present KPIs and progress metrics to leadership in a clear and actionable way.
  • Document and continuously improve SOPs, workflows, and systems related to velocity management, liquidation, and inventory optimization.
Growth Opportunities/Perks
  • Work in a fully remote environment with flexibility and autonomy.
  • Opportunity to take ownership of a mission-critical function within the business.
  • Collaborate with a smart, driven, and supportive team across operations, supply chain, and marketing.
  • Gain experience working with large-scale catalogs and advanced analytics tools.
  • Shape and improve core systems, processes, and forecasting models as we scale.
  • Be a key contributor in building data-driven decision-making infrastructure for inventory strategy.
  • Potential for career growth within a dynamic and expanding team.
This Position Is Perfect For You If…
  • You’re a data-driven problem solver.
  • You love turning complex data into clear, actionable insights, and you’re just as comfortable analyzing trends as you are building models in Google Sheets.
  • You’re organized and detail-oriented.
  • You can juggle thousands of SKUs, track key metrics, and ensure your forecasts are accurate — all while improving the systems behind them.
  • You thrive in fast-paced environments.
  • You embrace change, enjoy working cross-functionally, and bring a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset to everything you do.

Our hiring process is made up of four parts, so please be aware that you will need to dedicate time for a questionnaire, a video, and two 1-on-1 interviews.
