Job description

We are seeking a hands-on, experienced E-Commerce Fulfillment Manager to lead our fast-paced direct-to-consumer (DTC) warehouse operations. This role is ideal for a floor-focused leader who thrives in a high-volume environment and is passionate about developing people, optimizing processes, and driving operational excellence. You’ll play a key role in implementing systems, managing warehouse operations, and building a high-performing team to support our growing E-Commerce business. This role reports to the VP, Fulfillment and works closely with the Warehouse Managers of Receiving / Inventory and Specialty / Wholesale, respectively.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited:

  • Inventory Management: Maintaining accurate inventory levels, conducting regular stock counts, and reconciling inventory data with storage systems.
  • Order Fulfillment: Overseeing the picking, packing, and shipping of orders, ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment in accordance with Bogg Bag KPI’s and customer SLA’s.
  • Warehouse Layout and Space Utilization: Support planning and optimizing the warehouse layout to maximize space utilization and efficient product flow.
  • Staff Management: Recruiting, training, and supervising warehouse staff, including assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing coaching and feedback. Create appropriate and flexible staffing schedules to ensure proper coverage during peak and off peak times.
  • Safety and Compliance: Implementing and enforcing safety procedures, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Equipment and Maintenance: Managing warehouse equipment, coordinating maintenance and repairs, and ensuring proper functioning of all equipment.
  • Relationship Management: Collaborating with other departments, such as operations, sales, and customer service, and liaising with suppliers and transportation companies.
  • Performance Monitoring: Tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) related to warehouse operations, such as order accuracy, on-time delivery, and inventory accuracy. Implement strategies to drive efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Process Improvement: Identifying areas for process improvement, developing and implementing new procedures, and optimizing warehouse operations.
  • Budget Management: Managing the warehouse budget, controlling costs, and optimizing resource allocation

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of warehouse supervisory or management role, preferably in an ecommerce or omnichannel environment
  • Understanding of logistics principles, shipping procedures, and supply chain management.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team of warehouse staff. Effective verbal and written communication skills for interacting with staff, other departments, and external partners.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Ability to identify and resolve issues related to warehouse operations and logistics.
  • Proven experience implementing and managing WMS and ERP systems
  • Strong leadership and people development skills with a hands-on management style
  • Ability to motivate and inspire others
  • Knowledge of Good Warehousing Practices, OSHA Safety Standards, and regulations regarding warehouse and material handling
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and generate reports to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexible schedule availability, especially during high-volume periods
  • Experience in both company-owned and 3PL warehouse environments
  • Background in process improvement or warehouse layout optimization
  • Experience managing budgets and P&L responsibilities
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related field
