Job summary

Hy-Vee, Inc. is seeking an E-commerce Driver in Oklahoma to support the Aisles Online program. You will be the face of Hy-Vee at customers’ doors, ensuring orders are delivered safely, on time, and with friendly service.

This role involves loading orders, navigating routes, and handling payments as part of a seamless online shopping experience. The position emphasizes strong customer service, reliability, and the ability to work independently on daytime shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with no DOT restrictions; must be 21 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting customers warmly and going the extra mile to make every interaction a positive one.
• Organize, gather, and load online orders, ensuring all items are stored at the proper temperature throughout the entire process.
• Deliver products to customers in a safe, timely, and efficient manner, following all traffic laws and customer delivery requests.
• Validate customer age and gather required information for orders containing alcohol.
• Collect payment, make change, and return payments and beginning cash to the store as needed.
• Select, scan, and bag items from all temperature zones and process customer orders through the POS system as needed.
• Maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of delivery vehicles, inside and out.
• Substitute products for customers upon request or when items are unavailable.
• Maintain compliance with Hy-Vee’s dress code, hygiene standards, and all company policies.
• Assist with other tasks and special projects as needed.

Accountable and Reports to:

Store Director, Store Manager, Assistant Managers of Store Operations, Perishables, and Health Wellness Home, and Online Shopping Department Manager

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Valid driver’s license with no DOT restrictions required; must be 21 years of age or older

Physical Requirements

• Frequently stand and walk throughout a shift in sales, food service, or delivery areas
• Where applicable to the role: ability to safely use sharp knives and blades for food preparation
• Where applicable to the role: exposure to heat- and burn-related hazards associated with cooking, baking, or grilling equipment
• Where applicable to the role: ability to operate a delivery vehicle in accordance with applicable DOT standards
• Perform repetitive standing, walking, reaching, and bending associated with order fulfillment, POS transactions, and cleaning/sanitation duties

Working Environment

This is an active, on-the-go role with continuous exposure to dust, noise, temperature extremes, dampness, vibrations, and equipment movement hazards. There is significant pressure to deliver product in a timely manner. The role requires frequent entry and exit from a delivery vehicle, traversing staircases and uneven terrain to reach delivery destinations. Safety is always a priority, and training is provided to help ensure a safe and supportive work environment.
