Job summary

Kroger in Saint George, Utah is seeking an entry-level e-Commerce order picker to assemble online orders with attention to freshness and quality. You will process coupons and payments, load orders into customers' cars at pickup, and deliver a positive customer experience aligned with Kroger's values.

You will work in a fast-paced setting, follow store procedures, and help maintain cleanliness and order in staging areas, while learning new processes and assisting training of team members.

Responsibilities

• Meet/exceed customer expectations for ease of shopping, variety, freshness, and cleanliness.

• Receive customers’ orders from Order Selector and store products in optimal temperature zones.
• Initiate and complete selection process for customers’ on-line orders.
• Follow directions in the note section.
• Ensure quality and freshness of all items.
• Communicate with customers via a portable phone, respond professionally.
• Load orders into customers’ cars for pick-up.
• Process orders through the POS system.
• Follow policies to determine substitutions for out-of-stock items.
• Bag orders on the go following bagging standards.
• Communicate substitutions or exceptions at pick-up.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of staging areas and equipment.
• Report discrepancies to store e-Commerce supervisor.
• Inspect equipment and notify for repairs.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Learn and adapt to new processes.

• Initiate and complete selection process for customers’ on-line orders
• Read and follow directions given in the note section
• Ensure quality and freshness of all items chosen
• Communicate with customers via a portable phone and respond to calls in a professional and timely manner
• Retrieve each customer’s order from all staging locations and ensure order accuracy; load order into customers' cars
• Process the orders through the point of sale (POS) system
• Follow policies and procedures to determine appropriate substitutions in the event of an out-of-stock
• Scan and bag orders on the go while following all bagging standards
• Communicate any substitutions or exceptions to customer’s order at time of pick-up
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of staging areas and equipment
• Report pricing, scanning, and item location discrepancies and invalid temperature types to the store e-Commerce supervisor
• Inspect equipment and notify store e-Commerce supervisor or other store management of items in need of repair
• Perform required opening and closing procedures
