Advancing Eco Agriculture Inc. is seeking a full-stack E-commerce developer to bridge design, software engineering, and digital retail strategy.

You will focus on transaction flows, payment security, shopping cart mechanics, CRO, and high-volume traffic handling. This role requires cross-department collaboration with marketing and IT, reporting to Head of IT, and coordination with Finance to integrate customer records and order processing.

Qualifications

• Experience building and deploying WordPress plugins.
• Strong SEO best practices knowledge.
• Experience with WooCommerce, Shopify, Magento, SFCC, or custom stacks.
• Ability to perform in ambiguity and bridge marketing to IT.
• Willingness to learn Generative Engine Optimization (GEO).

Job description

Advancing Eco Agriculture is a Regenerative Agriculture company that delivers cutting edge products, consulting and technology services to growers. We are searching for a full-stack E-commerce developer that has the ability to bridge design, software engineering, and digital retail strategy. They will focus heavily on transaction flows, payment security, shopping cart mechanics, conversion rate optimization (CRO), and high-volume traffic handling. This person must be able to perform in ambiguity, and able to move with agility from the marketing team asks, to IT execution.

Cross departmental project management is a requirement as this person will be delivering a strong product for the marketing team and working closely with them, while reporting to the Head of IT. This person will also will have a strong relationship with the Financial Controller as they work to integrate financial systems, customer records, and order inflow for processing. Having a willingness to learn and implement generative engine optimization (GEO) is a must.

Key Responsibilities

• Storefront & Platform Development: Build, launch, and customize online stores using platforms like WooCommerce, Shopify, Magento (Adobe Commerce), Salesforce Commerce Cloud, or custom architectures
• Mastery of Wordpress Environment: Build launch and deploy various Wordpress plug-ins. Experience using standard coding practices to modify and customize standard plug-ins. Ability to analyze and interpret code level modifications previously made by others. A strong understanding of SEO best practices. Prior experience, or willingness to learn and implement Generative Engine Optimization.
• Payment & Third-Party Integrations: Integrate secure payment gateways, inventory management systems (IMS), enterprise resource planning (ERP), customer relationship management (CRM), and product information management (PIM) tools
• Performance & Mobile Optimization: Optimize site speed, database queries, and responsive mobile layouts to reduce bounce rates and cart abandonment.
• Security & Compliance: Ensure PCI-DSS compliance, protect customer data, and apply regular security patches. Understand accessibility and consent compliance (GDPR) requirements
• Testing & Debugging: Perform A/B testing, troubleshoot checkout failures, and monitor uptime.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with UX/UI designers, digital marketers, and product managers to roll out promotional campaigns and seasonal site updates.

Skills & Qualifications

• Front-End Technologies: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and frameworks/libraries like React, TypeScript, or jQuery
• Back-End Technologies: Languages such as PHP, Node.js, Python, or Ruby, paired with server management
• Database Experience: Relational and non-relational databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server
• E-Commerce Ecosystems: Deep familiarity with popular commercial platforms, RESTful APIs, and webhook integrations
• Version Control & DevOps: Git, CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions), and Agile/Scrum or Kanban workflows
• Experience: 3 to 5+ years of hands-on web or e-commerce development experience. Working cross functionally with Marketing and Finance
