Job summary

Simpson Strong-Tie seeks a process chemistry resource for the Gallatin E-Coat operation. You will conduct daily testing, manage chemical additions, and monitor bath chemistry to prevent coating defects.

The role requires coordinating with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, and Quality teams to maintain stable process performance. The position operates on a 3rd shift from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM, Monday through Friday, with responsibilities across pretreatment and E-Coat systems including

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry preferred or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 3+ years of laboratory chemical testing and process control experience.
• Hands-on experience with titrations, pH meters, conductivity meters, and chemical bath control.

Responsibilities

• Daily chemical testing and process control for pretreatment and E-Coat systems.
• Perform titrations, pH checks, conductivity tests and logging results.
• Manage chemical additions and ensure safe handling per SDS and PPE.
