Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor e-coating equipment to apply protective coatings to surfaces according to specifications.
- Conduct routine inspections of machinery to ensure proper functioning and troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the coating.
- Perform routine maintenance on e-coating equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
- Coordinate with maintenance personnel for repairs and upgrades when needed.
- Conduct regular quality checks on coated products to ensure they meet industry standards and customer specifications.
- Identify and address any defects or inconsistencies in the coating, adjusting as necessary.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Identify potential safety hazards and take appropriate measures to mitigate risks.
- Maintain accurate records of coating parameters, process data, and quality control results.
- Generate reports on production output, quality metrics, and equipment performance.
- Perform daily and weekly preventive maintenance on e-coating equipment.
- Assist with other areas of production and other projects as assigned by Production Team Leader.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2-5 years’ experience in E-Coating or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
Skills and Competencies
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong understanding of e-coating principles, techniques, and equipment operation.
- Detail-oriented with a keen eye for quality control and a commitment to producing high-quality finishes.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Ability to work in a production facility with fluctuating temperatures and humidity levels.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 40 lbs. on a consistent basis.
- Ability to stand for up to 10 hours.
- Excellent hand/eye coordination.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively use power tools.
- Good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina.
- Consistently wear personal protective equipment.
- Ability to work in a production facility with fluctuating temperatures and humidity levels.
