Minnesota Industrial Coatings in Princeton, MN is seeking an E-Coat Operator to join our production team on the 1st shift. The role involves operating and monitoring e-coating equipment, inspecting machinery, and maintaining coating quality to meet specifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–5 years’ experience in E-Coating or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor e-coating equipment to apply protective coatings to surfaces according to specifications.
• Conduct routine inspections of machinery to ensure proper functioning and troubleshoot any issues during coating.
• Perform routine maintenance on e-coating equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
• Coordinate with maintenance personnel for repairs and upgrades when needed.
• Conduct regular quality checks on coated products to ensure they meet industry standards and customer specifications.
• Identify and address defects or inconsistencies in the coating, adjusting as necessary.
• Adhere to safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
• Maintain records of coating parameters, process data, and quality control results.
• Generate reports on production output, quality metrics, and equipment performance.
• Perform daily and weekly preventive maintenance on e-coating equipment.
• Assist with other areas of production as assigned by Production Team Leader.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor e-coating equipment to apply protective coatings to surfaces according to specifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2-5 years’ experience in E-Coating or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.

Skills and Competencies

• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong understanding of e-coating principles, techniques, and equipment operation.
• Detail-oriented with a keen eye for quality control and a commitment to producing high-quality finishes.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
• Ability to work in a production facility with fluctuating temperatures and humidity levels.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 40 lbs. on a consistent basis.
• Ability to stand for up to 10 hours.
• Excellent hand/eye coordination.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively use power tools.
• Good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina.
• Consistently wear personal protective equipment.
• Ability to work in a production facility with fluctuating temperatures and humidity levels.
