Job summary

rad life mobility inc in Seattle is seeking a full-time E-Bike Mechanic to diagnose, service, and repair electric bikes in our flagship service center. You will work with customers and teammates to deliver high workmanship and organized repair processes.

The role requires hands-on skills with brakes, drivetrains, and electrical systems; you will perform routine maintenance, test rides, and clear explanations to customers, while staying safe and keeping the workspace tidy.

Qualifications

• Experience as bicycle or e-bike mechanic or similar mechanical role.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability.
• Experience with brakes, drivetrains, wheels, tires, and adjustments.
• E-bike electrical troubleshooting experience a plus.
• Proficient with hand tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Able to prioritize work in a busy service center.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Dependable, professional, and team-oriented.
• Willingness to learn new products and service procedures.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical concerns on e-bikes.
• Perform routine maintenance, adjustments, tune-ups, and repairs.
• Repair and replace components including brakes, drivetrains, wheels, tires, tubes, and controls.
• Troubleshoot e-bike electrical systems and determine appropriate repair solutions.
• Conduct thorough post-repair inspections and test rides when appropriate.
• Complete repairs accurately and efficiently while maintaining high workmanship standards.
• Provide customers with clear, friendly explanations of recommended repairs and maintenance.
• Help set realistic expectations regarding service needs and repair scope.
• Communicate additional issues discovered during service when appropriate.
• Help create a welcoming, professional service experience from bike drop-off through pickup.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area.
• Follow company safety procedures and established service practices.
• Work collaboratively with mechanics, sales staff, and leadership.
• Stay current on products, service procedures, and technical updates.
