Job summary

Judd Wire Inc. in Turners Falls, MA is seeking a 3rd shift E-Beam (Irradiation) Operator to support wire and cable production. You will perform operations per SOPs, log data in the BPCS system, and ensure proper irradiation dosage.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma or GED, the ability to work in a fast-paced team, and are willing to train on PIV. Shift differential applies; comprehensive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 1-3 month’s transferrable experience.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• Team player with the willingness to learn.
• Position requires knowledge of ordinary arithmetic including decimals, fractions, and simple use of specifications together with use of adjustable measuring instruments.
• PIV Training and certification will be completed after hire.

Responsibilities

• Operate irradiation equipment per SOPs and work orders, adhering to specifications and recording data in the BPCS system.
• Monitor samples to ensure proper irradiation and alert of any dosage deviations.
• Inspect wire and cable before loading; restring if breaks occur.
• Maintain logs of equipment usage, performance, and hours as instructed.
• Cross-train on all E-Beams and rotate as scheduled.
• Detect and report defective materials; observe safety rules and keep work areas clean.
