Job summary

Calvary Community Church is seeking a Youth Pastor to lead seventh through twelfth grade ministry in the Chicago suburbs, offering both part-time and full-time options. You will foster a Christ-centered environment, empower student leaders, and coordinate worship, media, and outreach activities.

The role emphasizes discipleship, community engagement with schools, and regular parent communication, with a leadership team primarily under the Senior Pastor and Elders.

Qualifications

• Formal education in discipleship, ministry, theology, or youth ministry; or currently in final year of studies.
• Prior youth ministry leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide energetic, safe environments for 7-12th grade students.
• Develop youth leadership teams for worship, video, tech, preaching, and calls to action.
• Organize ministry teams for youth activities and events.
• Develop adult leaders to mentor youth and harness their gifts.
• Hold weekly discipleship groups or midweek youth connect.
• Engage with local schools and community partners.
• Equip teens for missions and ministry service.
• Communicate regularly with parents about spiritual growth.
• Create outreach plans to grow youth participation and church engagement.
• Help manage annual youth budget and fundraising ideas.
