Job summary

Impact Dojo in the Chicagoland area is seeking a motivated martial arts instructor to teach children ages 4 to 18. You will lead engaging classes, demonstrate techniques, observe progress, and maintain a fun, safe learning environment.

This role requires clear communication with students and parents, teamwork with staff, and a commitment to curriculum delivery and safety. A black belt and teaching experience are preferred; background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience working with children; martial arts teaching 1–5 years.
• Child abuse clearance and criminal background checks required.
• Teaching certification and/or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Ability to establish clear communication with parents.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily martial arts instruction to children aged 4–18.
• Demonstrate techniques, observe progress, and give feedback.
• Supervise groups and ensure health and safety.
• Plan daily lessons that are fun and engaging.
• Collaborate with staff and uphold company code of conduct.
• Maintain a positive role model for students.
