Job summary

The YMCA in Dallas is seeking a Wellness Coach to assist in membership retention and deliver safe, effective exercise instruction in one-on-one or small-group settings. You will educate members, lead Wellness Orientations, and help connect participants to programs, while modeling the YMCA’s safety standards.

You will ensure floor safety, enforce rules, and participate in required trainings such as CPR, First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogens as part of our commitment to member well-being.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
• Available mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be committed to the YMCA mission and dedicated to serving members.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe exercise instruction in one-on-one or small-group settings.
• Assist in membership retention and growth.
• Lead Wellness Orientation and follow up with members after initial appointment.
• Ensure safety of the fitness floor and enforce rules and age guidelines for equipment.
