Job summary

United Natural Foods, Inc. (UNFI) is hiring for a FLEX Order Selection role in a distribution center. You will pull customer orders, palletize, and move product using electric pallet jacks and forklifts, ensuring accuracy, safety, and proper location placement.

Starting wage is $20.75 per hour, with $2.00 per hour weekend premium and $2.00 per hour for freezer environments if applicable. Three days a week, Sunday is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Experience in shipping/receiving or stock handling is desirable.
• Able to lift up to 90 pounds.
• Must be 18 years or older due to equipment operation.
• Ability to read labels and stack/load products correctly.

Responsibilities

• Counts, sorts and verifies product descriptions and store numbers of items being loaded.
• Examines pallets to ensure they are shrink wrapped correctly.
• Stores product in bins, on floor or on shelves, according to identifying information.
• Reports adjustments to inventory counts, spoilage or damage to stock, location changes, and out of stocks.
• Transports product throughout warehouse via electric pallet jack and/or forklift.
• Maintains loading performance standards of speed and accuracy with minimum damage and maximum safety, while being mindful of weight distribution on the trailer.
• Assists other department personnel in the performance of work activities when peak workloads require or during absences of division personnel.
