Job summary

Phoenix Metals is seeking a Warehouse/Material Handling worker for the plant and distribution operations. The role involves moving material, pulling orders, stocking inventory, and operating forklift equipment in a safety-conscious environment.

The position requires basic reading and math skills, a valid driver's license, and the ability to follow detailed instructions. Physical tasks include standing, walking, lifting, and possibly local deliveries as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Must meet MVR criteria per regulations/policy.
• Warehousing and material handling experience preferred.
• Must obtain certification to operate motorized handling and rigging equipment.
• Clear written and oral communication skills required.
• Adequate manual dexterity and coordination required.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions and basic math.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time.

Responsibilities

• Move inventory or equipment and help fulfill customer orders.
• Unloading incoming material and loading trucks or customer vehicles.
• Locate items in stock and maintain accurate inventory tagging.
• Review shipping/receiving documents and prepare orders.
• Operate forklift, side loader, or crane to move material.
• Keep work area clean, safe, and organized; report hazards.
• May perform local deliveries with non-DOT vehicle as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
