Job summary

Surge is seeking a Material Handler to join our warehouse team on the 1st shift. This role involves moving, loading, unloading, picking, packing, and organizing materials and finished products throughout the facility.

The position requires standing for long periods, lifting 10–50 lbs, and working Tuesday to Saturday, 6:00 AM–2:00 PM. Prior warehouse experience is helpful but not required; training will be provided. RF scanners may be used to track inventory and shipments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Standing/walking for extended periods, up to 10–12 hours.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 10–50 lbs.
• Comfortable with bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, stretching, reaching.

Responsibilities

• Move materials, supplies, and finished products throughout the facility using hand trucks or other equipment.
• Load and unload freight safely and efficiently.
• Load finished products onto pallets and hand trucks.
• Stack pallets and skids in designated storage and staging areas.
• Pick, pack, sort, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
• Apply shipping labels according to requirements.
• Wrap pallets, consolidate freight, and prepare shipments for loading.
• Verify shipment accuracy and inspect freight for damage.
