Job summary

JB Poindexter & Co is looking for a Warehouse Associate in Houston, Texas. You'll perform general warehouse duties to assist internal and external customers, including loading materials, picking orders, and maintaining a clean work area.

The ideal candidate has warehouse procedure knowledge and basic computer skills. A high school diploma or GED is preferred. This position offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and a 401(k) plan with company match.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of warehouse procedures and practices is essential.
• Basic math and computer skills are required.
• Ability to collaborate with various departments needed.

Responsibilities

• Load & unload materials to and from designated areas.
• Pull and pick orders for various types of pick tickets.
• Stock all parts received by receiving agents.
• Assist with shipping and receiving administration.
• Drive and/or stage trucks as necessary.
• Participate in cycle counts and LEAN initiatives.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Follow safety rules and regulations.

Skills

Knowledge of warehouse procedures and practices
