Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing seeks a Teacher for the Visually Impaired in Cupertino, CA. This travel role offers 37.50 hours per week with a weekly pay of $937, working in schools to support the social, intellectual, and emotional growth of visually impaired students.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree, a valid teaching certificate, CPR if applicable, and compliance with health and safety standards. Previous VI teaching experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university preferred.
• Valid state teaching certificate as required by state regulations.
• One year experience as a teacher for the visually impaired preferred.
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provides students with appropriate learning experiences and activities.
• Organizes and implements an instructional program for visually impaired students.
• Enables students to develop competencies and social, intellectual, and emotional growth.
