Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and valid Texas teaching certificate.
• Ability to plan lessons with accommodations for English language learners (ELL) and IEPs as appropriate.
• Willingness to participate in staff development and ongoing professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop and implement lesson plans reflecting district instructional program and accommodations for differences in student abilities.
• Assess student growth through formal and informal testing and provide remediation to ensure mastery.
• Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and manage student behavior.
• Establish and maintain effective communication with students, parents, teachers and administrators; participate in professional development.
• Participate in faculty meetings and serve on staff committees as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned and conserve energy as per district plan.
• Conserve electricity as outlined in the district energy management plan.
