Job summary

The Tennis Professional at YMCA of Metropolitan Atlanta will deliver high quality tennis instruction to students of all ages and skill levels. You will evaluate performance, maintain equipment, and promote good sportsmanship while upholding safety and wellness standards.

Responsibilities include creating training programs, conducting individual and group lessons, coordinating ALTA/USTA activities, and supporting member engagement. Passions for tennis and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Physical Education, Sports Management, or related field.
• Proven experience as Tennis Professional or Instructor.
• CPR certification within 30 days of employment and maintained.
• USPTA or PTR certification advantageous.
• Strong ability to motivate students and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide tennis lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels.
• Evaluate student performance and adjust coaching accordingly.
• Develop and implement training programs for different age groups.
• Maintain and inspect tennis equipment and facilities.
• Schedule and conduct individual and group lessons; coordinate ALTA/USTA activities.
• Attend matches, tournaments, and events as required.
• Record schedules and rosters; assist with payments where applicable.
