Qualifications

• Proficiency in swimming strokes and ability to demonstrate in group or individual sessions.
• Ability to perform life saving techniques if necessary.
• Ability to forge respectful partnerships with persons served.
• Maintain confidentiality of participants and families.
• Self-starter with high energy and positive attitude.
• Adhere to drug/alcohol/smoke free workplace policy.
• Instruct and observe participants in proper stroke techniques.
• Able to lift equipment and assist with children as needed.

Responsibilities

• Instructs swim lesson participants across all levels.
• Ensure safety of participants within class and during activities.
• Adhere to class schedules and stay after class for questions and cleanup.
• Submit attendance, skills sheets and reports on time.
• Attend mandatory meetings and trainings as scheduled.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies to secure patron safety.
• Maintain professional appearance and customer service standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
