Job summary

Qualifications

• Active, non-suspended Certified Surgical Technologist NBSTSA certification is required.
• Minimum total of three years of experience within the last five years, either in the operating room scrub role or as an instructor in the Surgical Technology profession, or a combination of both.
• A baccalaureate degree is required for an Associate of Science, but not for an Associate of Applied Science.

Responsibilities

• Teaching and advising students
• Improving student outcomes by utilizing a variety of instructional delivery methods, including technology and other innovative approaches
• Maintaining and submitting appropriate individual student records
• Must be able to lift upto 50lbs
• Must be able to maintain classrrom and laboratory setting organized after each class session
• Must be comfortable teaching in both classroom and laboratory settings for sessions lasting 3 to 5 hours
• Other duties as assigned.
