Smithsonian Associates seeks a Youth and Family Summer Programming Intern to support daily operations of our summer programs in Washington, DC. Responsibilities include creating social media materials, handling registrations communications, preparing craft and print materials, and assisting with camps and sleepovers.

The internship offers a $7,700 stipend for 11 weeks, with May start and flexible hours including Saturdays for sleepovers.

Qualifications

• Interest in arts administration and museum education.
• Ability to work quickly with attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily operations of summer youth and family programs.
• Create social media materials using resources like Smithsonian Learning Lab.
• Send materials to program registrants and respond to inquiries.
• Prepare all crafting and print materials for each program.
• Support Smithsonian Summer Camp and Sleepovers as needed.
