Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of college completed (bachelor’s degree preferred).
• Prior teaching and/or substitute experience preferred.
• Proof of active CHRC certificate.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction and manage student behavior confidently in the absence of a regular teacher.
• Establish respectful relationships with students quickly.
• Maintain a professional attitude with students, faculty, and parents.
• Communicate well with staff and administration about concerns.
• Seek help from deans, counselors, or administrators when needed.
• Complete required online trainings promptly.
• Respond calmly in school emergencies.
• Review the Substitute Handbook contents.
