Job summary

Corpus Christi Catholic School, part of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston, seeks a Substitute Teacher to support Early Childhood, Lower or Middle School classrooms. The Substitute Teacher reports to the respective Division Head and collaborates with the Principal, students and faculty to uphold Sacred Heart education.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree and coursework related to education; teaching experience in elementary settings is preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree required
Degree work in a field of study that coordinates with education
Teaching experience in an Elementary School preferred

Responsibilities

Following curriculum and unit plans as directed by Lead Teacher and studying classroom plans.
Maintaining professional relationships with colleagues and staff.
Supporting disciplinary guidelines with integrity and respect for students.
Attending liturgies, prayer services, assemblies and parent conferences.
Using unscheduled time for planning and professional development.
Being prepared for additional duties such as playground or lunchroom supervision.
Communicating student progress to administration and parents.
Maintaining classroom records: lesson plans, assessments, attendance.
Utilizing school technology and software as needed.
