Qualifications

• Must have 60 college credits or a high school diploma plus completion of a 20-hour state-approved substitute teacher training.
• Must hold a valid DESE approved Substitute Certificate, Initial PC, Career CPC, or Lifetime Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a positive learning environment and respond to the individual needs of students.
• Implement effective lessons in the absence of the regular instructor.
• Follow district policies and create a safe classroom conducive to learning.
• Take attendance, review lesson plans, and leave notes for the teacher.
