Job summary

Campus Adventures is seeking dedicated substitute teachers in Bastrop, Texas, to cover classes when the regular teacher is absent. You will deliver lessons, manage behavior, and keep curriculum continuity, supporting student success across grade levels.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or higher, strong English communication, and classroom management skills. Training and background checks are required; TEA training completion is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; higher education in education or related field is a plus.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Strong writing, reading and communication skills in English.
• Ability to effectively manage a classroom and maintain discipline.
• Flexibility and adaptability to work in different grade levels and subject areas.
• Prior experience working with students in an educational setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction and follow lesson plans.
• Maintain a safe, positive classroom environment.
