Job summary

The Nestucca Valley School District is seeking a Substitute Teacher to provide instruction in the absence of the regular classroom teacher, maintaining classroom routines and safe learning environments.

Candidates must hold or be able to secure TSPC licensure, including an Oregon teaching license with endorsement in any area. District sponsorship is required for a Restricted Substitute Teaching License. This pool position supports building principals and students across district classrooms.

Qualifications

• Must hold or be able to secure TSPC licensure.
• Oregon teaching license with endorsement in any area.
• Restricted Substitute Teaching License (District sponsorship required).
• Transcripts may be requested but are not required to apply.

Responsibilities

• Follow policies, rules and procedures applicable to regular teachers.
• Remain in the classroom until students are dismissed.
• Oversee pupil behavior and maintain classroom routines.
• Review plans with the principal and implement daily schedules and lessons.
• Maintain confidentiality of information.
• Complete daily reports or evaluations.
• Report safety, sanitary and fire hazards to supervisor.
• Comply with laws, rules and regulations.
• Interact courteously with students, staff and community.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
