Job summary

A regional educational provider is looking for a Substitute Paraprofessional/Teacher Aide to maintain an effective learning environment in the absence of permanent staff. Responsibilities include working with students in small groups, assisting with personal hygiene, and managing classroom activities. The ideal candidate must have ISBE Highly Qualified Status and a high school degree. This role offers a 9.5-month contract with salary and benefits determined by the Board of Education.

Qualifications

• Must have ISBE Highly Qualified Status.

Responsibilities

• Reinforces instructional and behavior objectives of classroom teacher.
• Work with and assist students in small groups or 1:1.
• Assist in taking students to and from the bus, including handling wheelchairs.
• Conduct testing and assessment as requested.

Education
