WS Ryan Elementary in Denton, Texas seeks a Special Education Teacher for Academic Functional Skills (AFS) to foster an engaging, standards-aligned learning environment. The role emphasizes collaboration with SPED teams, ARD/IEP processes, and differentiated instruction for diverse learners.

Starting immediately, the teacher will design instructional strategies, monitor progress, and work with aides to support student growth and accountability within the district framework.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with Special Education endorsement.
• ESL certification preferred or obtainable within one year.
• One year teaching experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Deliver instruction aligned with district curriculum and TEA guidelines.
• Collaborate with SPED AFS and regular teachers to modify curricula and provide accommodations per IEPs.
• Supervise instructional aides and volunteers.
• Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
