Qualifications

• Valid state driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Instruct individuals and groups in special education skill areas.
• Plan curriculum and lessons using research-based programs and teaching methods.
• Evaluate student achievement using progress monitoring and observation.
• Implement behavior support plans for individual students as needed.
• Monitor students' adaptive/behavioral progress when appropriate.
• Maintain the classroom environment and safety.
• Maintain contact with parents of students.
• Follow home school and district safety and discipline procedures.
• Prepare report cards, educational records, IEP forms, and attendance data.
• Apply de-escalation techniques and physical interventions per safety care certifications.
• Drive when required with a valid license.
