Responsibilities

• Implements state and federal laws and regulations as they apply to special education.
• Participates in development and implementation of IEPs.
• Supervises paraprofessionals and provides instruction.
• Develops lesson plans and adapts curriculum for diverse learners.
• Maintains student behavior standards for a supportive environment.
• Keeps records, prepares progress reports, and communicates with parents.
• Collaborates with specialists to identify student needs and solutions.
• Maintains professional competence through district PD activities.
